Our annual review of appr. 250 Nordic large caps indicates the following trends in share-related long-term incentives plans:
– Sweden: Reduced risk appetite due to high volatility on Nasdaq Stockholm, high cost of living and high consumuer prices has led to a shift from from warrans and call option plans to share plans with initial share investment requirements.
– Denmark: Performance share plans continue to replace restricted share plans and share options plans without performance conditions.
– Finland: The already high level of Performance share plans now account for appr. 85-90% of the plans.
– Norway: A large portion of the large caps maintain their share saving plans for all employees. A mix of share plans and share option plans with or without performance conditions among the plans for management and key employees.
